Make New Friends and Memories:
Summer camp is a great opportunity to meet new people and make lasting friendships. Campers bond over shared experiences and activities. For instance, Discovery campers ended their session last year by supporting the Musical Theater group and watching their performance of Willy Wonka. Campers also get to go on adventurous field trips, and benefit from having exciting guests like Mad Science of Washington or musicians like professional percussionist and storyteller Kofi Dennis join us for the day.
Explore New Interests:
Beekeeping, cooking, tinkering, and woodworking – does that sound exciting or what? Summer@Potomac offers a wide variety of programs and activities that can help kids explore their interests and discover new talents. Whether campers are into sports, arts, science, or something else entirely, there is a camp program that is perfect for them. Explore more!
Learn in a Fun and Engaging Environment:
Camp is a fun and relaxed learning environment. Our camp programs are designed to be engaging and interactive, so they will be having so much fun that they won’t even realize they are learning. Like in Tinkering Camp, where campers take all kinds of electronics apart! Campers harvested motors, fans, wired, and all kinds of pieces to build upcycled sculptures. Or, in Service Learning Camp, where campers were busy both inside and outside the camp room working to help our community by making trail mix bags, visiting a local food pantry, learning about community gardens, and more! Kids who participated in SPARK’s My First Lemonade Stand learned about entrepreneurship, creating a list of jobs necessary for running a successful lemonade stand, along with the required skills for each role.
Get Active and Have Fun:
Summer@Potomac provides many opportunities for kids to get some exercise, fresh air, and/or respite from the heat. Campers are able to participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, such as soccer, football, hiking, swimming, and more for campers ages 5-15. Last season, during Potomac Baseball Coach Adamec ensured every participant developed the skills and confidence needed both on and off the field.

Our summer camp is staffed by experienced and caring professionals who are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all campers. We maintain clear safety protocols and supervision at all times to ensure every child feels protected. Our goal is to create a space where campers can confidently explore, learn, and have fun while parents enjoy peace of mind.
