Nature Science Camps have been super adventurous. If one week alone they went on not one, but two exciting field trips! Our campers explored the wonders of the National Museum of Natural History - bringing their classroom lessons to life with incredible exhibits. Meanwhile, our expedition group ventured to the U.S. Botanic Garden and got to see examples of various flora that can be found in different biomes from around the world! Counselor Apprentices Take Meaningful Visit to Women Giving Back

Recently, our Counselor Apprentices took their leadership training off campus with a meaningful visit to Women Giving Back! They spent the day sorting clothing donations for women and children in need, supporting the organization’s mission to provide essential items with dignity and compassion. The Counselor Apprentice (CA) program aids in the development of creativity, self-confidence, and leadership skills. CA’s spend the first few days of the session learning how to work with younger campers. After observing various activities, the director, with the input from the CA, will determine the best placement. Moving forward the CA’s spend part of their day developing their skills and gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of our seasoned head counselors. The rest of the time will be spent participating in leadership training, which may include off-campus trips for service learning projects and team building exercises. At the end of the session, CA’s meet for an individual evaluation with the Director of the Program. The acceptance to this program is contingent upon an informal interview which will be scheduled in February 2026.
